I find I have to motivate myself to visit and post something worthwhile so I can keep online relationships intact. It's definitely a struggle. I created a Yahoo Group, Powerful Entrepreneur. It's just for women... and the only way you're allowed to post ads is if you're a regularly participating member. Ya know what? We get ads, but nothing fierce - and they're from people that participate... that we've all gotten to know and that we all understand. I agree - building relationships takes time... that's just the way it is. And I don't know when people are going to learn that joining message boards just to post your ads doesn't work. The members of the board who are genuinely there for networking can see right through that stuff... and don't take kindly to it. I continue to learn this process. I feel I'm getting better, but still need to work to ensure I'm not pushing a product or service but truly building relationships.
