Capture the Eye
I just finished taking pictures and rewriting copy for my store website -neosoul.essentials. I must say, I had a great time mak
ing the products, taking just the right pictures then fooling around with the pictures in
Photoshop. I love working with photography and have a ton of pictures to show for it.
Pictures, especially photographs of real people in real situations, give such a great look and
interest to a website. Clip art is fun, where appropriate, but if you really want a professional look to your webbie, use photographs.
If your website is dragging a little, or you feel like you want to include some current pictures for the upcoming holidays, why not check out istockphoto?
I can’t say enough about istockphoto.com.
I truly believe they’ve got an image for every single website. (Of course, I’ve got the “adult filter” on, so they might have even more stuff that I haven’t seen.)
Do you need pictures of African-American families? How about business women/entrepreneurs?
Or herbs/spices for your recipe or cooking site? You’ll find it all here, and at a very reasonable price! Prices begin at $1.00 for an extra small photo, which is usually sufficient for website or newsletter use. You could spend all day just browsing some of the amazing photographs they have for sale.
Note: Be sure to read the conditions of use before you begin your project.
To your continued success!

OMG - a lady who follows me and I follow her back has the eye photo as her avatar on twitter. Wild how we know who is using what. I try to personalize my pictures but I know that istockphoto is a gem. Thank you for sharing the knowledge with us!
I always learn something from you! I always wondered how people have these professional pictures on their site! I wish I could use it!
